Default Tank Master build

I tried lately the Tank Master build from GuildWiki.

First I tried it in PvE with henchies. It works OK but nothing spectacular. A Barrage build will do more dammage and be more flexible.

Then I tried it solo in Raisu Palace (Explorable). Even when I managed to not get aggroed the dammage coming to me from the pet is too much and I die easily. I'm using Troll Unguent for healing but it is not enough.

I even tried it in PvP in RA. I managed to do some fast kills with it but as soon as the other team understands what I'm doing they kill me in seconds cause I don't have much defence.

As I see it now this build is kind of useless. Is anybody using this with good results?

Yea, it's really nothing great for most normal PvE. I did however use a similar build for Ruins of Morah mission, but dropped Troll and Symbiotic for [skill]Predator's Pounce[/skill] and [skill]Disrupting Lunge[/skill] and had moderate success.

Until A-net implements pet controls, it really isn't of much use to make your pet into a tank since most enemies will just run past them and kill you.

In a PvE team I'd drop the WS points and [wiki]Troll Unguent[/wiki] in favor of Marks (plus rune) and take RtW and an interrupt. Possibly drop [wiki]Call of Haste[/wiki] or [wiki]Symbiotic Bond[/wiki] or [wiki]Predatory Bond[/wiki], depending on healing support. [wiki]Predator's Pounce[/wiki] and [wiki]Poisonous Bite[/wiki] are good skills to consider in variations.
